First put the short wall of the siphon tube filled with liquid into the storage tank, then open the valve 3 at the outlet of the long arm, the liquid will flow out of the tube due to the action of gravity, causing a negative pressure at the upper end of the tube, and the liquid in the storage tank will be affected by the atmosphere. The action of pressure flows into the short arm. In this way, the liquid will continue to flow automatically until the liquid level in the tank drops to the entrance of the siphon. The method of filling the siphon with liquid is mainly manual, and a vacuum pump can also be used. First close valves 3 and 5, so that the liquid is sucked up by valve 4 until it fills both arms. When the liquid rises to the observation cover, close the valve 4 and open the valve 3, the siphon will work, and the liquid will flow out. If you want to stop the delivery, open the valve 5 to make the siphon pipe communicate with the atmosphere, and there will be no siphon effect.
